Well hello there 9th month of pregnancy!

I realize that it has been a while since I have posted anything, and it has been on my mind to get something up. I just felt like there was nothing to post, and then it dawned on me. There are tons of things that have been happening this last month, so get ready to be updated.

First of all.... I am in my 9th month of pregnancy!!!... kind of... lol. My original due date was June 28th, then moved to July 9th, and at my last ultrasound was told again to expect between June 28th and July 4th. So I have no clue when to expect this baby, but sometime in the next month to month+a week. So even though I am dreading this.. this is a pic of me 34 weeks prego. I know I am pregnant and I am supposed to gain weight, but I can't help to think I just look fat, with a pregnant belly. People think that is awful to say.. but it is true... you just get bigger!!! So here it is...

Anyways... on to other things... but still baby related... Jordan and I finished our nursery! I feel like we are pretty much prepared minus a baby monitor, but she will be in our room for the first weeks so I don't feel I need to run out and get one just yet. But I think we have all the clothes/diapers/supplies we need. Don't worry there is probably plenty of things I don't know about/forgot. So here is a picture of her pretty much done room.

Which reminds me, Jordan and I took on the project of refinishing our dresser. Jordan's parents gave it to us when we first got married, and we have wanted to paint it for ages. Since it is now officially for baby, we decided to paint it dark brown just like all of her other furniture. It is so crazy how paint and new hardware can totally change a piece of furniture. It took us two different days for the project, but overall worth it. I wish I had a before picture, but here is the after:

Along with all this furniture re-doing... I have decided that I wanted to start sewing again. I knew nothing three years ago until I took and intro sewing class at school. It was by far one of the hardest college classes I ever took. It was extremely difficult for me because I was pretty much the only beginner and we moved at an extremely fast pace. Since that class I have not done one thing! I think just doing the projects assigned and having a due date and everything just turned me off.

But one day (in church actually) we has a lesson on developing our talents. I just felt terrible and untalented!! So I told Jordan I was buying a sewing machine. He kinda laughed at me, but told me if I was seriously going to use it then he had no problem in me getting one. Of course I wanted to get the machine I learned on, which at school was a Bernina. I looked into them, and of course the base model is about 600 dollars. So I decided to look elsewhere. After much researching I settled on a special edition of a Singer Stylist. I got it and I have been using it ever since!!

My first project was pillowcases, just to get back in the swing of things, and because I have been wanting to buy a new bed spread, brand new pillowcases will have to satisfy me.. at least for a while :) I love them. And I forgot how much fun shopping for fabric was.

I am also making skirts for my sisters. I have only finished one so far. It is supposed to be a surprise but oh well! I am making two in the same exact size with different fabric so they will just have to duke it out when I am finished with the second. The picture doesn't really give it any justice, but oh well.

After I finish the second skirt, I am going to try to make a baby dress. I bought a pattern, so we will see how that goes. I have not put in sleeves or a collar for three years, but I conquered the zipper all by myself so hopefully I'll be able to figure it out. If not, I have an amazing seamstress who lives upstairs that will help me:)

Last thing on the agenda! Memorial Day! What a great weekend Jordan and I had. He has been super busy with school and work, that I have been feeling a bit neglected. It was refreshing to spend some time together. On Saturday we pretty much hung out together all day and then Jordan's parents had his family over for dinner. On Sunday we visited the graves of Jordan's grandparents and great grandparents. Then on Monday we had a BBQ. My brother and his wife came, and we rode his go-ped around. Yes I rode it, but I was very careful and went very slow.

We also went bowling. I have never been a good bowler. Ever. But for some reason, I was amazing. I am telling you statues should be erected in my honor. Best pregnant bowler ever. I only used an 8 pound ball, but for some reason I was totally awesome. Not to be boastful or anything. Lol. I have never beat Jordan bowling, ever. I beat him twice. I was so excited, I took a a picture of the scoreboard. I am MAS and Jordan is JAS. Just so everyone knows:)

Well that is pretty much our lives at the moment. I am definitely in my nesting period, so I have to go do some more cleaning, and I have tons of baby clothes to wash.
