Tevin & Tiana Sautter

Let me first say, I have the most attractive family in the whole entire world. They are very photogenic and extremely easy to work with. This last weekend I photographed Tevin & Tiana for the first time with their little girl Reese. I just want to say, yes you guys are very attractive and I hate you because your family will just be the blue eyed, blonde hair beauties of the world. Actually I don't hate you. Envious. haha. And privileged because, after all I am related to them.

I have to admit though, I didn't think the pictures would come out very good. Not because of them for any reason, but because we have had a ton of fires so it has been super murky outside and because I wasn't really into my groove. Sometimes when I take pictures I feel like I get into a weird funk and I can't think of how to pose anyone, or it seems awkward to me, or I can't come up with any brilliant new things. I must be getting amazing or something because I love A LOT of the pictures. They turned out so good and I am very proud of them. As you can tell, I am very humble.

I just love my family, and I am so happy that they trust me enough to take their family photos. They are pretty much my only business and I just love them for it.

Oh yeah.. and disregard my last post about booking your session quick because of some 2 year non-sense. Still book your sessions... but I am available forever! haha.

Here are my favorites. Well not all of them because there were too many to pick from.

Motab, YW, YC....

This weekend Jordan and I (and basically his entire family) went to go see the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square perform at the BYU-I Center. I have never seen them perform live before. It was AWESOME. They sang a lot of songs I had never heard before, one of my favorites was a song originated from Africa. They were moving around clapping their hands and playing tambourines and more! When I say Mormon tabernacle choir, that definitely doesn't come to my mind. It was awesome. Plus the 2 blonde ladies that were sitting second row from the top were hilarious. They were fervently into every song they sang. Put a huge smile on my face. My favorite song of the night was "Come, Come Ye Saints." I have been reading the Work & the Glory books, and to hear that song, and have a better perspective as to what the early Saints went through at that time just brought tears to my eyes. It was beautiful. Plus I got to hang out with my husband- Hallie free- all night. That was a cool reminder of the olden days.. haha.

I have also been meaning to write about on the blog about my new calling! I am the Mia Maid Advisor. I have been in for pretty much 3 months now (wow I am really late in posting this) and it has been my favorite calling. It is a huge time commitment, and I feel like I have a ton of responsibilities, but all I have to say is good thing I am not the President. We have an awesome group of girls and they are tons of fun to be around.

We are also piloting a new teaching program right now. I'm not really sure how many stakes are actually involved, but it basically throws the lesson book out the window. It is based more like teaching in the Savior's way. I am absolutely in LOVE with it. I hope they switch the whole church over to it soon because it is by far the best thing I think they have done with teaching since Preach My Gospel. Every single week I teach, I totally end up bawling in front of the girls (which is totally embarrassing) but the girls are so much more into the lessons and it really brings the spirit. I love it because I can basically do whatever I want with a lesson outline. I can take all the information they give me or throw it out the window and find my own. I just wish everyone had it so they knew what I am rambling about.

The last thing I wanted to mention was the Youth Conference that we got to attend with the girls. I am so sad that I am not a youth living in Idaho, because the opportunities they have are amazing. We had a 20 stake youth conference held on the BYU-I campus, and mostly held in the BYU-I center. It was such an amazing experience to see all the strong youth. There were over 5,000 people in attendance including leaders. It was a sight to see. We had Elaine S. Dalton come (best talk I have ever heard), Dale Murphy, and tons of other breakout speakers from the area.

The very best part of the YC was Elder Bednar. They had 4 microphones set up around the "I" center and for 2 hours the youth got to go up and ask him questions. I have been in a small session where people ask questions, but never in a large setting let alone with an Apostle of God. Something that Elder Bednar kept repeating was that the Savior did everything "one by one." He even referred to the scriptures in 3 Nephi 11. I was floored at this point, because I was reading in my scriptures at that exact same place, and it was the first scripture reference that he gave to answer a question. Even though the question had nothing to do with the questions I had in my mind, Elder Bednar, and the spirit answered my questions. It was such a neat experience.

All of this spiritaul bombardment has been happening to me in the past 3 months. It has changed my perspective on things a lot, and has made me look deeper into myself than I ever have. I am grateful for my calling. I love my girls so much it hurts. They are such an amazing example to me, at the age they are. It helps me keep my faith in this hard time in Jordan's and my life. For my non-member friends who have been crazy enough to read this entire post, if you have any questions about anything that I have talked about, please ask. I would love nothing more that to answer your questions.

I love the gospel. I am so grateful for everything that it blesses me with in my life. Without it I would be sorely lost.

Oh yeah.. I did that.

So I have this new years resolution to write on the blog every week. I have been severely lacking in the last couple of months. Anyway. I'm sitting and thinking to myself while I am uploading some pictures... "What can I write about?? There must be something??!!" And it dawns on me....

Jordan, Hallie, and I spent an entire week in Colorado just a week ago. I had a good laugh to myself. I don't think that pregnancy brain ever goes away. It just turns into mushy mom brain. We spent August 24-September 2 in Colorado. And it was jam packed with awesomeness.

We left on Friday night, thinking that the drive would be easier because Hallie hates her car seat, so if she was just sleeping we wouldn't have to deal with the screaming. We didn't officially get on the road until 7 (we had a pit-stop in Blackfoot, to drop my pictures off at the State Fair) so we didn't make it until 5 in the morning. Well Miss Hallie decided that she wanted to be awake pretty much the entire time. She slept for maybe 3 hours total... 3 hours broken up among the 11 we drove. At least this is literally the only all-niter that I have had with Hallie her entire life. And she pretty much watched movies the whole time. So it wasn't as bad as I am making it sound. Needless to say, we drove home during the day on the way back.

We had such an awesome time. Colorado is always fun because we get to do touristy things. And most of the things I have never done before even though I lived there my whole growing up life! Of course, I have to have Jordan and Hallie experience Colorado the way it is meant to be experienced.

Some of the activities included:

WATER WORLD. Haven't been in over 2 years, so I am so glad we went. It was such a blast. Hallie had a day with grandma and grandpa, so we missed her but it was fun. I wish I had pictures, but the only one I have I left in Colorado on accident.

CHIPOTLE. This is an experience in itself. Enough Said.

PIKE'S PEAK. We went to the very top. I got very light headed and sick. For some reason all the gnats in the world decided they wanted to be on top of the mountain that day. They were everywhere. In my hair, down my shirt, and anywhere else you could think. But we had fun. Jordan has officially been to the top of a fourteener (even though we drove to the top). Hallie did awesome. It was kind of sad though also, because we could see all of the mountain sides and trees that burned in the Waldo Canyon Fire. I got a little choked up to myself and felt for all the families that were effected. My heart goes out to them.

HOMECOMING DRESS SHOPPING. Thank you Nordstroms for carrying dresses with sleeves. My little sister and I were literally there for a half hour at the most. The dress we found was perfect price, size, color, beading, and modest. She of course, looked stunning. I'm sad I don't get to be there on Saturday, but I will get to see some amazing pictures!

ZOO. My mom and dad have family passes to the zoo, which means we can all go for free!! It was awesome. The only thing we really like to see is the giraffes because the exhibit is so awesome. Plus.. they just had a baby giraffe in July so we got to see the baby! He was born at 5'4" that is insane to me. We also got to see the baby gorilla. He was born only two weeks before we got to see him! It was so cute. The pretty much just grab onto their mommas and don't let go. It was cool to see such a huge animal when it is tiny. We also rode the carousel, but Hallie didn't seem to enjoy it much. She just had a blank stare on her face the whole time. It was funny to watch her though. It was fun to go, but it was extremely hot, so we called it quits after a couple of hours.

BOWLING. My family is so competitive we have to go bowling when we get together. We went to this new place called Brunswick Zone. It is by far the nicest bowling alley I have ever been to. I think the best part was getting to sit on couches and bowl instead of those crazy swivel chairs. I bowled 3-4 strikes, I can't remember but I got the most of the night, even though I didn't get the highest score. At least I broke 100 both times we bowled. It was such a blast.

MEGAN & MATT'S WEDDING. This was such an awesome experience. I love seeing my friends and family get married, especially in the temple. It is so special. And Megan has become very near and dear to my heart, so I am so happy I got to be apart of her special day. I did her hair and her makeup. I was SOOOOOOOO nervous. But we had a practice day so I knew that it would go over well. She told me that she got so many compliments. So hey if you need someone to do your hair prom/wedding or whatever let me know. I officially have experience. I got to go in the bride's room to help Megan get her dress on and fix hair and makeup before she went out of the temple. So cool. The brides room is one of the prettiest rooms in the temple. They sure do know how to make a girl feel well, girly. It was such an awesome day. And now I have a married couple friend that will live nearby! Wahoo!

NAILS. Always a must when in Colorado. I have yet to find a good pedicure place in IF. Sad day because that is one service that I will always be ok with paying for. I love being pampered and Erin and I got to spend some time together.

CASTLE ROCK OUTLETS. Now growing up I didn't think these were very cool. But now that I have a baby and they have a ton of baby outlet stores it is like heaven. Hallie got all of her winter clothes for this year, and they are ADORABLE. And no one in Idaho will have them because we don't have those stores anywhere close. Jordan was also super excited because they have a Nike outlet. He loaded up on Lebron gear. He loves that man. Seriously. It goes Me, Hallie, Lebron. Well he got shorts, t-shirt, and hoodie. I was kinda skeptical because I didn't want him to get the hoodie. It was marked at 80 dollars. But the look on his face.. I couldn't say no. Good thing I didn't because when the girl rang it up... 20 BUCKS! Oh man lucky us. The checker girl was surprised and was like this is prob marked wrong, but it must be your lucky day and let it go through. So I have one happy, decked out husband. Oh and I got to see Sophia I cheered with in high school. She works at the Coach store and we ran into each other. Another one of my friends Crystal was also working at the time, but we didn't even see each other. Next time girl!

FAMILY. The cherry on top is seeing family. We could sit at the house all day and do nothing and be completely happy. My family is crazy and insane- totally opposite of Jordan's- but it is the funnest thing to me. We aren't afraid to hurt each others feelings or say whats on our mind, or to tell each other how must we've missed one another and snuggle on the couch. That's my dad and Jordan who will snuggle of course.... hehe. I hate parting. It always makes me cry. I just hope they know how much Jordan and I love them, and how much Hallie loves them too.

That's pretty much it for the Colorado visit. I love Colorado. I love my family. I love my friends. Maybe one day we'll go there to stay. Who knows.

Hunter & Isaac Sautter

My poor blog has been neglected. I have been very busy and I still feel like I have NO time to write this. But I just finished up some editing of my favorite twin boys in the whole world!! They are so much fun to shoot. Hunter was kinda harder because his stomach was hurting. The whole time we asked him if he needed to throw up. He just said "no" and we kept shooting. Later on that evening, his mom, Macy, was talking to him. They figured out that Hunter had done Ab Ripper from P90X. Well of course his stomach was hurting!! His abs were on fire!! I couldn't move for days after I did it once. Just a funny side note I guess.

Well and I a m putting this out there. If you have a session that we have talked about and you have not booked it yet, please do it soon. There are some things in the works which causes me to sign a non-compete clause that lasts for 2 years. So please give me a call and set up your stuff!!

So here are the favorites. Again, love these boys.
