Before & After

Jordan and I FINALLY picked the bed set that we wanted for our little baby. It came in the mail last week on Thursday, and we decided that we were going to paint her room last weekend before Jordan's school schedule gets crazy.

We bought the Sugar Plum set from CoCoLa (I think that is the company name). It is a mixture of pink and purple with cute little butterflies and flowers all over it. We decided on the Disney Behr paint and the color Clock Strikes 12. You can't see it too well in the pictures, it photographs really light. But it is the perfect color when you are looking at it. We were only going to paint, but we bought this amazing paint edger, so we didn't have to tape at all! So it cut our time way down and we were done in about 2 hours. So we decided we wanted to put the crib up too. It is the long box on the left in the "Before" picture.

We just love the set!!

Of course I have to include our egg dying from Easter. Jordan let me have all his eggs to dye. I had one egg that was almost a circle, it was kind of cool (it is the blue egg).

I also decided that I wanted to show my basketball spirit, so I made a Lakers egg:) Jordan gave me some crap for it, but hey I gotta show some team spirit!!! Hopefully they win the next two games and put those Hornets in their place!!

Vegas. Colorado. Ultrasound.

Jordan and I have just had the busiest/funnest/craziest week of our lives! Let me tell you a little bit about it from the start. And brace yourself... This will be a LONG post!

♠PART 1: VEGAS♠

First of all, we went to VEGAS with our good friends Courtney and Jeff Christensen. On the night of Tevin's wedding she called me up and asked if we wanted to go with them. It was perfect because we were already going to Colorado, it was our 3 year anniversary, and we wanted to take a vacation before our little bundle of joy arrives. They also belong to a time share, so our hotel stays were free!! Thank you Courtney!! It was such a blast. Here are a couple of things that we go to do....

First off was the CSI experience at the MGM Grand. You got to pick one of three cases and walk around and  figure out what happened. It kinda spoon fed you all the way through, but I am glad we did it. I would be wondering forever what it would have been like.

Of course we had to see the lions at the MGM grand.

After that we walked through the Venitian and the Palooza and watched a TON of bride and grooms get married on the gondolas. We wanted to take a ride so bad, but then found out it was 30 bucks for 10 minutes. Not really worth it, so we just watched. But the inside is so cool. The ceiling is painted like the sky and its like you are walking through Venice.

The next day we went to the Titanic Artifact Exhibition. At the beginning they give you cards that have passenger's names and stories. I was a third class women about 26 with a three year old and a nine month old. Jordan was a first class wealthy 64 year old man with his wife, three kids, and maid. The exhibit starts with the history of how Titanic came to be, then the sailing, showed all the rooms in the ship, the warnings of the ice, and much more. They had a HUGE block of ice that you could put your hand on to show you how cold the water was. It was sooooo cold. I couldn't believe it. At the end, it has a list of passengers who lived/died. Jordan and I both died:(

I HIGHLY recommend this one. So much fun.

After the Titanic, Courtney and I wanted to look at the Pearl stand. It is so cool. What you do is pick a pearl out of the bucket, the workers ring a bell and everyone screams ALOHA, and they break open your oyster. You get to keep whatever pearl is inside. Courtney got a ivory/pink pearl and set it in a necklace, and I got a 7.5 mm ivory pearl and set it in a ring. It was so fun, and such a good anniversary gift!

After walking around for the past couple days, we found a cheap foot massage in china town. Seriously the best 30 minutes of our vacation!! It doesn't look like it, but it was really dark, and they had the serene water trickling, and we watched a documentary on arctic animals. It was so relaxing, and very much needed.

The next day was a much needed pool day. We sat in the lazy river, hot tub, and swam around in the pool until we were ready for dinner and the Cirque Du Soleil show. We went to dinner at Planet Hollywood in Caesar's Palace. Caesar's Palace is huge. My favorite part was the escalators- they were in spirals. Yes, I am amazed by small things. We then went to the Cirque Du Soleil show, Mystere. It was AMAZING! Those people are so talented. The things they can do with their bodies is unexplainable. You would have to see a show to know what I am talking about, but they are for sure worth it. After the show we went to the Bellagio. It was close to midnight (our anniversary) so Jordan and I decided that watching the Bellagio fountains was a good way to spend it. It very much was. They were beautiful. Afterward, we went to the Bellagio gardens. That is the picture above.

The next day was a very long car ride from Vegas to Colorado. Pretty much 14 hours of driving.

★PART 2: COLORADO★

The last of our vacation was spent in Colorado. My mom and sisters threw me a baby shower. It was so fun and I am so thankful for all the ladies that came. I was especially grateful that my best friend (Missy Bolman) sent her mom is her place. She is the sweetest lady and I am so glad I got to see her. My sister had her good friend, Tiffany, make the cake. That was also so beautiful! My cousin from California got to come for the shower because it was her spring break. It was so fun to have her there, she is a 6 foot sum blonde beauty. Let's just say that everyone there that had a son her age, was trying to set her up. Everything was perfect. My mom and sister bought me my car seat and stroller. Jordan had a fun time putting those together.

One of my favorite parts of going to Colorado is going to the zoo. They have one of the biggest giraffe exhibits in the country. And a giraffe is my favorite animal:) It was so fun. One of the older giraffes let me pet her for pretty much 10 full minutes. I have never experienced that! I was scratching behind her ears, by her eyes, down her neck, and she loved it. My hands were pretty disgusting after. Here is a video of it:)

We also got to go to the Budgie Buddies Exhibit. Basically you feed birds. But it was so funny. Jordan Case's bird and my bird had a fight. Haha. Here is a video of that!

These are all the rest of the pictures from the zoo!

We also got to see Kaylie play in a soccer game. They won 2-1. It was a very tough game. I am so glad they won. She is amazing!!!

♥PART 3: ULTRASOUND♥

Today Jordan and I had our 3rd ultrasound. We got back from Colorado last night, and the appointment was at 8 this morning. Let's just say it was difficult to get up this morning, but so worth it because we got to see our baby again. We had a new ultrasound tech (the old one moved:(... she was awesome) so it was a little awkward.. She didn't quite know what she was doing (it seemed), but oh well, we got to see our wee babe:)

So my original due date was June 28th. Then I got moved to July 9th. And after this ultrasound, the tech was saying they will probably move me back again to sometime between June 28th and July 4th. All because our little baby is 2 pounds 13 ounces... so basically 3 pounds!!! She measured a small head, and her feet are only 5 centimeters!! It was so amazing to see her. And so nice to know that she is still actually girl!

Jordan starts school tomorrow, and we are going to start working on the nursery. I am so excited for the next three months!!

this little baby is making me a little emotional

Once upon a time I lived a normal healthy life. I could watch television without crying, think about Jordan without crying, pretty much do everything without crying. Well that is not the case anymore! For example, yesterday I am watching One Tree Hill (granted it was a really sad episode) but honestly!!! The whole entire time, I was bawling. The whole ENTIRE time.

So Jordan had to go to work today to make up his hours while we are going to be gone on vacation. So smart person that I am, decided to watch our wedding video. I cried the whole entire time. Through our baby pictures, our adolescence, our teenage years, the years right up until we met, the time we had together, our engagements and finally the video of the day we were married. We were so happy that day, and it is written all over our faces (or maybe we are just an extremely photogenic couple). It just made me reflect on the past 3 years of being married. Yes! Three years in 10 days from now. It is crazy. But still, crying none the less.

So here are a couple of our wedding photos, just as a reminder to all of you how cute we are:)

Oh the memories.... I am now 26 weeks pregnant and counting. Here is a pic at 25 weeks... I am getting bigger!!!
Well that is the end of my rant for now. Stay tuned for pictures from our trip to Vegas and Colorado and the baby shower that my mom and sisters are throwing for me!! Hooray!!!
